Q: What is Rockstock?
A: Rockstock is an awesome rock and tribute music festival that celebrates rock culture! We feature dual stages with amazing bands, fun competitions, great food, and good vibes all day long.
Q: How long does the event run?
A: Rockstock is a one-day event that typically runs from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Gates open at 11:00 AM and the music starts around 11:15 AM.
Q: Is it an outdoor event?
A: Yes! Rockstock is an outdoor festival, so dress for the weather and bring sunscreen. The event happens rain or shine!
Q: Can I camp at the event?
A: No, Rockstock doesn't offer camping. It's a single-day event, so you'll need to arrange your own accommodation if you're traveling from out of town.
🎫 Tickets & Entry
Q: Can I get a refund on my ticket?
A: Sorry, all ticket sales are final - no refunds! But don't worry, we're can put your ticket in someone else's name if you choose to sell it.
Q: What happens if the event gets postponed?
A: If we have to postpone due to weather or other circumstances, we'll reschedule for the same weekend the following year. Your ticket will still be valid!
Q: Can I give my ticket to someone else?
A: Yes! You can transfer your ticket to a friend or family member, but it has to be done through our official ticketing agent. Just email contact@railrecords.net and they'll help you out.
Q: Can I leave and come back?
A: Nope! Once you leave the venue, you can't come back in. So make sure you're ready to stay and rock all day!
🎒 What Can I Bring?
Q: What bags are allowed?
A: You can bring small backpacks, belt bags, and hip bags. No oversized bags or luggage allowed!
Q: What items can I bring?
A: Here's what's allowed:
•Hand sanitizer
•Sunblock (definitely bring this!)
•Sunglasses and hats
•Mobile phones
•Empty water bottles
•Lip balm
•Earplugs (smart choice for a rock festival!)
Q: What about food and drinks?
A: You can't bring outside food or drinks, but we've got you covered! We have amazing local food vendors and a full bar with great prices.
Q: Can I bring an umbrella or chair?
A: Sorry, no umbrellas, chairs, blankets, or tents allowed. These can be safety hazards in crowds and block emergency exits. You can buy a VIP ticket which will entitle you to a VIP tent experience.
Q: What about cameras?
A: Mobile phones are fine for photos, but professional recording equipment isn't allowed. We want to protect the artists' rights. If you are professional photographer, videographer or press please reach out to us via the contact page for press credentials.

Q: Are kids welcome?
A: Absolutely! We love having families at Rockstock. It's a great way to introduce the little ones to rock music!
Q: Can I bring a stroller?
A: Sorry, no strollers or pushchairs allowed. They can cause safety issues during entry, exit, and emergency situations. Kids will need to walk or be carried.
Q: Do kids need their own tickets?
A: Yes. All attendees require tickets. U18 is $20+Fees.
Q: Can someone else bring my child?
A: Kids must be with their actual parents, not just any adult. If a legal guardian is bringing them, they'll need to show birth certificates and ID to prove guardianship.
🔒 Security & Safety
Q: Will my bag be searched?
A: Yes, our friendly security team will check your bag when you arrive. It's quick and helps keep everyone safe!
Q: What about pat-downs?
A: Sometimes we might need to do a quick pat-down check. Our security team are trained professionals who will always be respectful. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe!
Q: What if I bring something I'm not supposed to?
A: If you accidentally bring a prohibited item, security will ask you to take it back to your car or dispose of it. No big deal - just don't bring it in!
Q: Is there security inside the event?
A: Yes! We have security throughout the venue to help with any issues and make sure everyone has a great time.

Q: Can I buy alcohol at the event?
A: If you're 18 or over with valid ID, yes! We have a great selection of beers, ciders, and other drinks.
Q: What ID do I need for alcohol?
A: You'll need a valid NZ driver's license, HANZ 18+ card, or passport. No exceptions!
Q: Is there food available?
A: Absolutely! We have awesome local food vendors with everything from BBQ to vegetarian options. Plus, we make sure there are affordable meal deals available.
Q: Can I get free water?
A: Yes! Free drinking water is available throughout the venue. Stay hydrated, especially on hot days!
Q: Do you take cash?
A: Nope! The event is completely cashless. You can pay with your debit, eftpos or credit card at all food and drink vendors.
🎵 Entertainment & Activities
Q: What kind of music can I expect?
A: Rock and tribute bands! We have dual stages, so while one band is playing, the next one is setting up. That means non-stop music all day!
Q: Are there activities besides music?
A: Yes! We have fun competitions like hotdog eating contests, and games like cornhole.
Q: How loud is it?
A: It's a rock festival, so it's going to be loud! We recommend bringing earplugs to protect your hearing while still enjoying the music. There will be cheap ear protection available from the merch kiosk if you forget yours.
Q: Can I meet the bands?
A: While we can't guarantee meet and greets, bands sometimes hang out in the crowd between sets. Keep your eyes peeled!
🚗 Getting There & Parking
Q: Where do I park?
A: We recommend carpooling or using public transport when possible. There is very limited parking in the area.
Q: Can I get dropped off?
A: Yes! There will be designated drop-off areas. Just make sure your ride knows they can't come back to pick you up until the event ends.
Q: Is there public transport?
A: Check local transport options for the venue or beat the feet and walk in. Nothing like a brisk walk to warm you up for a boogie!
🌧️ Weather & What to Expect
Q: What if it rains?
A: The show goes on! Rockstock happens rain or shine. Dress appropriately and remember - no umbrellas allowed!
Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfortable clothes and shoes you can stand in all day. Bring layers in case it gets cold, and don't forget sunscreen and a hat!
Q: Are there toilets?
A: Yes, plenty of toilet facilities throughout the venue. We do not skimp on toilets.
Q: Is there somewhere to sit?
A: There is plenty of nice freshly cut grass to sit on and there, but it's mainly a standing event. We will be offering VIP packages that have seats.

Q: Is there first aid available?
A: Yes! We have qualified medical staff on-site and a clearly marked first aid post.
Q: What if I have a medical condition?
A: Please bring any necessary medications and let our medical team know if you need assistance. If you have serious medical conditions, consider whether a loud, crowded outdoor event is right for you.
Q: Can I bring my medication?
A: Yes, bring any prescription medications you need. Just let security know during the bag check. Prescriptions MUST match the name on your ID.
